What the Life of a Witch Really Looks Like

Hello my beautiful souls,

People hear the word witch and imagine moonlight rituals, candle smoke, ancient whispers, dramatic entrances, and ravens waiting on the window. (I love ravens- such a beautiful, smart birds).

I hate to ruin the fantasy… But the real life of a witch often looks far more ordinary. Many days look more like black coffee, messy hair, kids and dogs needing something, and me wondering where do I have to move to find my peace.:-)

Some mornings begin quietly.

Some begin with chaos.

Laundry. Emails. Creating Spells. Family Things. Bills. Crushing Herbs. Reading Tarot. Charging my Crystals. Writing my Books, or creating my Tarot Cards.

Simply- Real life.

And right in the middle of ordinary moments, intuition slips in.

A feeling about someone.

A knowing before the phone rings.

Energy shifting in a room for no visible reason.

That is how it often comes - not with thunder, but in small whispers.

There are herbs near groceries.

Candles near paperwork.

Spiritual thoughts beside practical responsibilities.

Incanting or praying while cooking.:-)

That balance is real life.

Many people think magic must look dramatic to be true.

I disagree.

Sometimes magic is saying no when something feels wrong.

Sometimes it is protecting your home.

Sometimes it is trusting yourself when nobody understands.

Sometimes it is surviving hard seasons and staying soft anyway.

To me, being a witch was never about a costume.

It was awareness.

Connection.

Responsibility.

Memory.

Incanting.

And yes… a little beautiful madness too.

Today my greatest spell may be keeping my coffee warm long enough to drink it.

That counts, right?

Tell me… what does your ordinary life of a witch obtain?

I'm a curious creature after all. :-)

Abundance of Health, Happiness, Love, and Prosperity to you all.

Not all witches live in castles. Some of us live near coffee and laundry.
