The Empress — the third card of the Major Arcana.
The Crown.
The womb.
The quiet power that does not need to announce itself.
She does not chase.
She attracts.
The Empress is creation without force. Abundance without apology. Strength wrapped in softness.
She is fertile — not only in body, but in energy. Ideas grow around her. People feel nourished in her presence.
Life responds to her.
The Empress knows her worth — and because she knows it, she does not need to prove it.
She builds.
She nurtures.
She protects what grows.
She is not fragile.
She is rooted.

“I KNOW WHO I AM, and what my purpose is.
I am EVERYTHING.
I am strong, but nurturing.
I can be tough, but very forgiving.
I am a fertile creator of energy.
I am the mother of my environment.

Wherever I am, I bring abundance and nurturing.
I AM THE QUEEN!!!”
Reversed Meaning of The Empress
“I am selfish, co dependent and/or stagnating.
I am empty and/or barren.
I can be lazy.
Maybe I am too ‘motherly’ and have to find ME time.”
When reversed, The Empress asks:
Have you forgotten yourself while caring for everyone else?
Are you over-giving?
Are you waiting to be filled instead of remembering you are the source?
Balance your nurturing with boundaries.
Creation requires energy — and you must protect your own.
